Hi, I’m Caroline...

A life shaped by international living is the bedrock of my work as a global travel designer. Starting with an idyllic, pastoral childhood in New Zealand, followed by the cosmopolitan ferment of 80’s Hong Kong, my global footprint and knowledge grew. I was schooled at Oxford, worked in London, Melbourne and New York and after all the fun-filled drama of a career in advertising, I raised my family in Brooklyn and educated them around the world. Like mother, like daughters.

My personal modus vivendi is layered on to my family legacy of hospitality. My great-grandparents once owned the Grand Hotel in New Zealand’s capital city; renowned for white tablecloths, silver service, and personal connection. This combination of lifestyle and legacy leads Duchess Travel to craft truly unique journeys, weaving insightful exploration with refined comfort.

 How I can help

I design and build custom travel around what makes you tick. for each of us that is totally personal. For those wanting a deep dive into a personal passion, my small group trips are really worth considering. Others will prefer to simply be with their family and friends alone.

It all starts with a good chat.

PS. I also simply book well chosen hotels for those who can’t be bothered!

    My raison d’être

A cozy living room with a fireplace, striped and floral upholstered sofas, decorated with yellow and patterned pillows. A round table in the center holds a large stack of books, and there are various lamps and decorative vases with flowers and plants. The room features warm lighting, patterned rugs, artwork on the walls, and a mix of furniture styles.
A group of six people sitting around a rectangular table outdoors in a lush, green garden. The table has a red and white checkered tablecloth, and there are bottles, glasses, and plates on it. Two women and four men are engaged in conversation, with some wearing sunglasses. The setting features dense foliage, trees, and hanging wicker lamps overhead.
